Senior Network Engineer

The successful candidate will have significant hands on experience with large scale IP networks including OSPF, BGP and Cisco devices. A strong understanding of telecommunications technology, hardware, software and services provisioning is necessary. The Network Engineering group works closely with multiple groups within and outside the organization. As a result, great communication, vendor relation and project execution skills are essential in order to be considered for the position.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
• Cisco Certifications (CCIE preferred, CCNA/CCNP required)
• Minimum of 3 years technical experience with large scale IP networks, including OSPF, BGP, Cisco and Juniper.
• Two years experience in a Data Center/ISP/NOC with Unix/Linux Systems and in a network operations environment.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches (Cisco 12000, 6500, 7200, 2900 series equipment). Juniper router experience is a plus.
• Thorough and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF , BGP , GRE, ISDN specs, Private IP/MPLS, VLAN switching, IPSEC/IP-VPN, Firewalls (Pix, Checkpoint), PPP, DNS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
