The Application is an Internet portal designed to meet the business and professional practice needs of the nation's medical professionals. It provides manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers with a timely and cost-effective way to reach community medical professionals with the information they need to make their practices successful. It offers a wide array of valuable tools and features to assist community medical professionals in their day-to-day operations. These features include professional and industry news updates, product news and highlights, disease and therapy information, patient education materials, business calculators, pricing tools, continuing education, and business support.

Salient Features:

Restricted access: The portal requires users to register in order to be able to browse most of the pages. The portal provides a free registration service. Integration with partner sites: The portal has a mechanism for integrating (profile migration) with other partner sites so that registered e-Portal users can login to the partner site using their e-Portal credentials and need not have to re-create their profile. Content Management System (CMS): The CMS consists of two elements:

		The content management application (CMA): The CMA allows the content manager to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a Web site without needing technical expertise.

		The content delivery application (CDA): The CDA element uses and compiles this raw content information that is saved in the database to automatically update the Web site using predefined templates to display the content.


Newsletter: NewsLetter is a third party email newsletter software and email marketing software for managing and distributing newsletters via email. Newsletter has been integrated with the e-Portal site to seamlessly work as an extension to the site. It enables opt-in email lists, email newsletters, email announcements, email list hosting, direct email campaigns and bulk email campaigns. Users can subscribe to one or more Newsletter Lists. The system uses a confirmed opt-in method to prevent malicious behavior. It tracks full statistics with each email marketing campaign including views, opens, and clicks on each link. It also includes features such as bounced address filtering and scheduled delivery.
