System Administrator – Windows Hosting – Edison, NJ
Responsibilities:
- Design scalable and reliable server clusters hosting Microsoft applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Hyper-V Virtual servers, Communications server, Dynamics CRM, and others.
- Modify architecture and design to match the growing customer
- demand for processing power, storage space, bandwidth, and reliability.
- Design monitoring, backup and patch management procedures for servers and networks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in identifying probable causes and solutions to network application problems.
- Lead resolution of specific situations associated with assigned responsibilities
- Coordinate with other Operations/App. Services team members regarding deployment and ongoing maintenance of new systems and solutions.
Skill Sets Required:
- Extensive enterprise-level MS Windows Servers systems engineering experience.
- Experience migrating from previous versions and competing platforms to MS Exchange.
- Expert knowledge of MS Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of all Microsoft Back office Applications.
- Enterprise level monitoring experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science or Equivalent. MCSE is a plus.
- 3-10 years Windows Server Administration
- 3+ years working with MS Exchange 2003/2007/2010 and Active Directory
- Production Windows 2003/2007/2010, Exchange 2003/2007/2010, ISA Server, BlackBerry, SharePoint, Live Communications Server, and Microsoft Operations Manager experience a plus
- Experience in an ISP, Web hosting, or Application hosting field working in a 24/7 environment.

Help Desk Supervisor – Edison, NJ
Katalyst needs a Help Desk Supervisor to manage help desk support team for the products and services offered by Katalyst and its clients. The Supervisor will also set priorities, evaluate and propose modifications to existing procedures to improve quality and service delivery; serve as the prime contact for clients.
Basic duties/responsibilities:
- Manage the processing of incoming calls to the Help Desk via both telephone and e-mail to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end user issues.
- Design and enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
- Review escalated Tier I tickets for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist Tier I personnel to solve basic technical problems.
- Provide Tier II support to end clients.
- Visit client site and data center locations to handle hardware, network, and connectivity issues.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- Must have minimum of 5 years previous experience in Technical Support Help Desk services
- 2+ years experience with leading a team of helpdesk technicians supporting technology products and services
- Microsoft Certification is a plus
- Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and basic knowledge of network design and implementation.
